Trifle by any other name?

[edit]

Haven't had this but from the description it sounds like basically a variation on a normal Trifle, what if anything distinguishes it from actually just being a foreign type of Trifle?Number36 22:36, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Basically Zuppa Inglese is a dessert made from layered cake and custard. The fact that it has an Italian background does not in fact single it out. Many Italians call trifle (as made in England) Zuppa Inglese. So in my opinion you are correct, Zuppa Inglese is trifle only with an Italian sounding name. That of course is my opinion but I am not the only one[1][2][3]. 77.167.212.162 (talk) 17:42, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Non of these links went trough. Not to mention, there are different hypothesis on the origin, but they are all Italian and the most believable one is Tuscan
    It's Italian, it's a fact, and I hope nobody will modified it based on opinion 79.21.222.19 (talk) 08:36, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
